Unable to move any pieces in any games Esteemed citizens!
I am unable to move any pieces in any games. My renewal (gold I think) was up for renewal on 30th December, but the note I received suggested that payment had passed smoothly. Please help.
Many, many thanks.
Is there a person or people who can be contacted?

Per FAQ#6 from Menu "HELP" ... collywobbles ...
Just a reminder that GK may not answer a Question that is already covered in the FAQ's section. So I think to receive a reply you may need to point out that the reason is not one of these already put in the FAQ's. Here is a link, and copy of #6 about this problem.

Q6: I'm unable to make any moves in any of my games, what do I
do?
............
A: There are several possible reasons for not being able to make
a move:
First of all, make sure that you are logged in to GameKnot from
the front page.
Please double-check that you are not trying to make an illegal
move and that your King will not be in check when your move is
submitted.
If you have any anti-virus or firewall software installed on your
computer, please make sure that it is not set to disable all active
scripts (JavaScript in particular) for all sites.
Make sure that your Security level in Internet Options (Internet
Explorer only) is set to Medium (recommended) or lower. If you
have your Security level set to High and you do not want to
lower it to Medium, you will need to disable "Move confirmation
/ submit button" in your profile to be able to make your moves.
Some computer viruses might prevent your browser from
functioning correctly (W32.Blast.Worm, for example). Make sure
that your anti-virus software is up-to-date.
Sometimes, clearing temporary Internet files (i.e. the browser's
cache) helps -- select "Tools | Internet Options..." menu, click
"Delete Files..." button, hit OK.
If you are using Microsoft Windows operating system, make
sure to download and install all the latest patches from Microsoft
Windows Update.
If everything else fails, try updating your web browser software
to the latest version, or using a different web browser altogether.

PS/ collywobbles ... Also, you can verify your membership status and level without asking GK, as follows: (There may be other ways/routes; this is the one I use)

click on your NIK above (or here :) collywobbles to take you to your Profile Page in the form that others see it. When there, simply click on your PAWN Icon right by your NIK, and it will take you to the page showing your current subscription information. And asks if you wish to upgrade, etc.

Thank you for trying to help. My next installment for payment isn't due until 30th December 2008, so that does not appear to be the problem, though it seems a coincidence that the first time I couldn't move any pieces is the day after I updated, but ho hum!

Security level medium, deleted all the file thingies, still no joy. Seems a shame to leave gameknot after all the fun it's given me over the last couple of years, particularly as I've just paid my subscription, but what can I do?
PS What's a web browser?!
