You use the World Database for guidance but as soon as the Expert takes you out of it you can be mightily stumped for a plan. Where do I go from here? Before rejecting your own move, convince yourself that you understand why the database move is much stronger. You need to have your head in the game, before your book or datebase runs out; or your first move on your own is liable to be a disaster.
